So I put him in touch with the secretary of Team Colorado who happens to be the head coach of the Denver Masters Swim Team and before I could even blink, swimming was apart of the event!
The opening registration party on Friday was in Tropicana’s largest ballrooms and it was full of everybody! There were a lot of fun inflatable games for us to play and giggle at, a live band was rocking out on stage and all the sports had tables set up.
I saw a lot of my friends from all over the country checking in on FB and heading to Vegas to participate in many different sports, so I was excited to see so many different friends! I flew in Thursday afternoon and checked in at the Tropicana, as soon as I walked in I knew it would be a fun time, the Tropicana was all decked out with Sin City posters and banners welcoming all of us athletes, we even had custom Sin City Shootout room keys!
Overall I really enjoyed the Sin City Shootout, it was definitely a much more positive experience and it surpassed my expectations. I am looking forward to watching and helping the swimming competition grow and continuing to participate in the event in the years to come. Hope to see you there next year!
